In selected periods, our medically certified fasting guide Wiebke Lahrmann-Wesser will accompany you on a 7-day fasting week at the Waldhotel Tannenhäuschen, during which you will not only do something good for yourself and your health, but also find the decisive relaxation of a fasting holiday in our spacious AQUA SILVA Spa. We have put together a special package with all services for you, which you can book with us in the following periods.

During the fasting week, you will recharge your batteries every day on hiking tours through the beautiful nature of the Lower Rhine, learn interesting facts about the health effects of fasting and the influence of our diet on our well-being - and lose a few pounds along the way. Wiebke will guide you gently through the fasting week and also show you how to integrate effective relaxation techniques and fitness exercises into your everyday life.

You are also welcome to book additional extra nights before or after the fasting week. These are ideal for an additional relief day before fasting (recommended: abstaining from stimulants and light food) or a build-up day after fasting (recommended: light, vegan food). The extra nights include overnight stay and breakfast.

Hello, I'm Wiebke Lahrmann-Wesser, fasting coach in the Lower Rhine region, and I invite you to join me on a very special journey: Fasting and fasting hikes - for body, mind and soul.

Fasting is more than just a break from food - it's a journey to yourself. It's a chance to detoxify your body, clear your head and recharge your batteries in the midst of nature. I will accompany you on this journey with my heart and experience so that you feel completely at ease during the fasting days.

What you can expect:

Activity & movement: In the beautiful nature of the Lower Rhine, you will not only activate your body on our hikes and cycle tours, but also clear your head. The fresh air and tranquillity work wonders.

Daily support: I am there for you both during fasting and in moments of rest. You can relax and enjoy the experience.

Mindfulness and relaxation: Fasting is also a wonderful opportunity to calm your mind. I integrate meditation and mindfulness exercises so that you can take a deep breath and leave your everyday life behind.

Nutritional advice: I will also give you valuable tips on how you can integrate healthy, sustainable nutrition into your everyday life after fasting - for more energy and zest for life in the long term.

Fasting hikes according to Buchinger - detox & recovery - Fasting hikes according to Buchinger - your time-out for body and mind

When fasting according to Buchinger, you consciously abstain from solid food and thus support your metabolism in a natural way. During your fasting week, you consume around 300 kcal a day in liquid form - ideal for a gentle detox programme and sustainable regeneration.

In the morning, you start with a revitalising fruit and fresh plant juice. At lunchtime, a nutrient-rich vegetable juice provides you with important minerals, while a fresh vegetable broth provides soothing warmth in the evening. The fasting diet is supplemented with around three litres of water and herbal teas as well as small amounts of honey and lemon slices.

Why fasting hikes activate your metabolism

Fasting hikes combine exercise and conscious renunciation - an ideal basis for your health. Daily activities in the fresh air promote fat metabolism, strengthen your immune system and increase your general well-being. The day begins with an activating "Fit for the day" session. You then enjoy your juice breakfast before heading out into nature. Our guided walks last around three hours (approx. 10 km) and are suitable for all fitness levels. You move at a comfortable pace, with sufficient breaks for regeneration.

Experience nature on a fasting hike on the Lower Rhine

The varied tours take you through the impressive landscape of the Lower Rhine: wide fields, tranquil forests and charming historic towns await you. Whether on foot or occasionally by bike - you will discover new places of power every day and enjoy conscious movement in nature. After the hikes, a refreshing vegetable juice and a relaxing resting phase with liver compresses await you - ideal for supporting your fasting process.

Holistic fasting week - body, mind and nutrition

Each fasting week has a special theme centred around nutrition, health and mindfulness. In guided sessions, you will receive valuable inspiration for your everyday life. You will reflect on your experiences together and benefit from new perspectives. You will also receive up-to-date information on fasting, nutrition and sustainable health promotion.

Relaxation, mindfulness and inner balance

Your personal "Inner Balance Sundowner" awaits you in the evening. With elements of yoga, meditation and mindfulness, you will specifically promote your inner peace and mental strength. Your day comes to a relaxed end - accompanied by a feeling of lightness, warmth and contentment. Record your experiences in a wellbeing diary and start the next day of your fasting week feeling invigorated.
