Raul Krauthausen is an inclusion activist, founder of SOCIALHELDEN and studied communications. His work in the areas of inclusion and social commitment has been recognized with, among other things, the Federal Cross of Merit and the Grimme Online Award. His autobiography “Dachdecker wollte ich eh nicht werden – Das Leben aus der Rollstuhlperspektive“  was published in 2014. Since 2015 he has moderated “KRAUTHAUSEN – face to face”, a talk format on Sport1. He regularly gives lectures on the topics of inclusion, diversity and social coexistence and presents, among other things, the podcasts “In the elevator” and “The New Norm”. His podcast Wie kann ich was bewegen?“  was published in October 2021 as a book of the same name by Edition Körber Verlag.



His non-fiction book Wer Inklusion will, findet einen Weg. Wer sie nicht will, findet Ausreden“  was published in spring 2023. Anyone who doesn’t want it will find excuses” (Rowohlt Verlag). In it he raises fundamental questions about inclusion in Germany and calls on readers to deal with their own ableism. In February 2024, Raul Krauthausen's first children's book  Als Ela das All eroberte“  was published by Carlsen Verlag. With his co-author Adina Hermann he tells the story of a girl who lives with a wheelchair and wants to discover space.
