The six bowling alleys of the Weseler Keglerverein 1955 e.V. are located right next to the Tannenhäuschen - for many bowlers, one thing is certain: "There's no better place to switch off than at the bowling alley." So get into the swing of things!

Wesel has been a member of the working group of cycle-friendly towns and municipalities in NRW since 1995. We have taken advantage of this and offer our guests various routes of between 4 and 40 kilometres in length through the flat, varied landscape of the Lower Rhine, adapted to individual ability levels.

The aim is to create a brewery that can revive the region's old varieties and develop new specialities. Through brewing courses in the newly built seminar area, beer lovers can rediscover the old tradition of home brewing.

You can discover the pure pleasure of the Lower Rhine-Westphalian brewery in the diverse seminars. From classic beer tastings to tasting courses and in-house brewing courses, you will learn everything you ever wanted to know about beer.

In the early evening, as dusk falls, you make your way to the "Schwarzes Wasser" nature reserve. The only heath lake in NRW is surrounded on all sides by pine forests and, in some cases, oak-birch forests, which often stand on dunes several metres high and offer unique vegetation and wildlife typical of moorland.

They are not only cute to look at, but often also serve curative educational and, above all, landscape conservation purposes. Alpacas have become more and more popular over the past few years as they slowly began to make their home in western climes.

The Nienhaus family breeds these fluffy companions out of love for animals and nature. Here you can get particularly close to the animals and go on an alpaca hike with your group.

Set off on wheels for an exciting tour around Wesel. Experienced instructors will show your group how to operate the Segway so that you can then explore the surrounding area at speeds of up to 20 km/h. On the route, which is around 12 kilometres long, you can explore much more of the beautiful Lower Rhine landscape in two hours than on foot - and it's definitely more energy-saving.

The "Pralinen-Manufaktur Große-Bölting" has been making hand-picked truffles and chocolates with heart and passion since 1986. Groups of 15 people or more have the opportunity to visit the factory and experience first-hand how complex the production of such small delicacies really is.

The Xantener Nordsee and Südsee are two interconnected inland waterways that are home to the town's leisure centre with numerous activities. There is a sandy beach around a thousand metres long with a natural bathing lake, a water ski circuit almost as long, three leisure harbours with boat moorings and much more. Water sports enthusiasts will get their money's worth here with stand-up paddling, diving, kite or windsurfing, sailing or leisurely cruising on the water.
