Let our "Ayurveda get-to-know-yourself special" take you on a journey to yourself and immerse yourself in the millennia-old wisdom of India. During your 3-day retreat in our wellness hotel, you will get to know the basic principles of Ayurveda and yoga in the pleasant atmosphere of a small group. In two intensive workshops, you will learn yoga practice as well as Ayurvedic techniques and treatments that you can integrate into your everyday life after your Ayurveda vacation.

As for all our Well-Being workshops, we have also invited a special guest for your Ayurveda yoga retreat: Alina Delschen - Ayurveda massage therapist, yoga teacher and much more - will accompany you on your Ayurveda yoga journey. She will not only give you deep insights into the Indian teachings of healthy living, but will also let you experience the beneficial effects of a traditional Ayurveda massage.

Even before her time as a trained yoga teacher and Ayurveda massage therapist, guest coach Alina Delschen found her personal balance to her stressful everyday working life in yoga and Ayurveda. Finally, she was motivated to pursue her dream and completed numerous training and further education in the areas of meditation, relaxation, yoga, Pilates and Ayurveda. She now passes on this enthusiasm with a rousing combination of dedication and expertise throughout Germany to all those who enjoy holistic approaches to nutrition, movement and healing just as much.

Understanding AyurvedaA journey to inner balance and vitality.

Ayurveda is a traditional holistic healing art that originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. The term "Ayurveda" comes from Sanskrit and is made up of the words "Ayus" (life) and "Veda" (knowledge), which translates as "science of life" or "knowledge about a healthy life". The goal of Ayurveda is to bring body, mind and soul into harmony in order to preventatively promote health and well-being.

Which “dosha” are you?

Central to Ayurvedic understanding is the idea that each person is unique and consists of an individual combination of three energies or doshas: Vata (wind), Pitta (fire) and Kapha (water). These doshas represent different elements and control different body functions. Each person has a specific dosha that determines their constitutional type. How the proportions of the three doshas are arranged in us therefore has a significant influence on how we are: our temperament, our preferences, our mentality and even how our body reacts to certain things.

For example, the airy Vata type is characterized by creativity and enthusiasm, but is not very persistent. Pitta people, on the other hand, have a lot of energy available over long periods of time, they are persistent, powerful - and tend to be angry rather than fearful. Meanwhile, Kapha types are level-headed, calm and have a balanced temperament with a tendency towards sluggishness.

Bring your dosha into balance

The special thing about Ayurveda and yoga is that the systems perceive people in their individual constitution. The aim is to bring our dosha into balance through a balanced and type-appropriate diet, yoga exercises and relaxation methods such as meditation and breathing techniques and to feel more alive, balanced and healthy.

Diseases have been treated and prevented in this way in India for a long time. Imbalances in the doshas can lead to health problems such as sleep disorders, digestive problems and inner restlessness. The healing effect of a type-appropriate and holistic lifestyle, on the other hand, is noticeable through physical and emotional well-being.

Holistic approach to long-term well-being

Ayurveda is not a short-term solution, but a path to long-term well-being and balance. It promotes personal responsibility for one's own health and teaches people to live in harmony with nature.

Ayurveda therapist Alina Delschen takes you on a first trip to get to know Ayurveda and lets you take part in the “Ayurveda wellness” experience. You will gain an initial, in-depth understanding of the basics of Ayurveda and can ultimately incorporate healthy habits into your everyday life using targeted relaxation techniques.
