In selected travel periods, our medically certified fasting leader Annegret Mitschke will accompany an 8-day fasting week in the Waldhotel Tannenhäuschen, in which you will not only do something good for yourself and your health, but also the significant relaxation of a fasting holiday in our spacious AQUA SILVA Spa will find. We have put together a special package with all services for you, which you can book in the following periods.

During the week of fasting, you can recharge your batteries every day on hiking tours through the beautiful nature of the Lower Rhine, learn interesting facts about the health effects of fasting and the influence of our diet on our well-being - and you'll also lose a few pounds at the same time. Annegret gently guides you through the fasting week and also shows you how you can integrate effective relaxation techniques and fitness exercises into your everyday life.

These are ideal for an additional day of relief before fasting (recommended: abstaining from stimulants and light food) or a build-up day after fasting (recommended: light, vegan food) . Your fasting leaderAnnegret Mitschke introduces herself.

Annegret already has 25 years of fasting experience and the competence as a medically certified fasting leader of the Deutsche Fastenakademie e. V. (dfa e. V.).

It was important to her to underpin her passion for fasting with a sound education so that she can accompany her fasting guests with expertise and empathy. So she knows exactly what effect fasting has on the body, mind and soul of the person and what it takes so that you can enjoy your fasting break in peace and mindfulness.

For Annegret, fasting in a group is the supporting community that is both inspiring and motivating and helps to overcome minor crises. At the same time you have enough space and time for yourself to switch off from constant togetherness. Annegret is by your side at all times during the week of fasting, so you can feel safe to be with you.

Fasting is one of the oldest natural healing methods and can help to prevent almost all nutrition-related disorders. It is aimed in particular at healthy people who want to lose weight through detoxification of the intestines or who want to use the structuring power of fasting for themselves. It is not uncommon for fasting to be used as a basis for rethinking the current diet and lifestyle in order to then adopt a healthier lifestyle.

There are many different ways of fasting, whereby we align our fasting week with the Buchinger fasting cure. In this pure drinking cure, the body is not fed any solid food during the fast, but only liquids in the form of tea, water and broth. Basically, the Buchinger fasting cure is divided into three phases:


1. Relief phase

The body is slowly prepared for the period of fasting and the diet is switched to light food. Luxury foods such as sweets or coffee are gradually disappearing from the menu, while nicotine and alcohol are taboo. Sufficient fluids in the form of water, broth and tea should be taken in and the body mentally prepared for the upcoming fasting days. Banish stress and hectic from your everyday life!

The day of arrival (Sunday) is a day off. You are welcome to add another day of relief to your fasting week by adding an extra night. Otherwise, if possible, try to take one or two additional days off before you return home.


2. Purification phase

On the Monday of your fasting stay, the detoxification phase begins with a Glauber's salt ceremony, which initiates the detoxification of the intestines. From now on, food intake is limited to liquids such as herbal teas with honey and vegetable broths. Of course, under the supervision of your fasting leader, you will ensure that the body is supplied with sufficient minerals.

We accompany the purification phase with lots of exercise in the fresh air, group hikes and targeted relaxation exercises. You will find the perfect complement with a personal feel-good time with a wellness treatment or relaxation time in our spa area.

An example day of a fasting week:

8:00 a.m.: Morning tea
8:30 a.m.: Morning exercise
9:00 a.m.: Fasting talks
09:30 a.m.: Hike
1:00 p.m.: Juice or vegetable broth
1:30 p.m.: Lunch break and liver wrap
2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.: Time for yourself (e.g. wellness)
6:00 p.m.: Vegetable broth or juice
7:00 p.m.: Fasting talks / lecture / relaxation


3. Breaking the fast/build-up days

Towards the end of the week of fasting, we start on Saturday with the first set-up day. Ceremonially we enjoy the first solid food with a tasty apple from the regional fruit farm after the conscious renunciation. In order not to overtax the body after this time, the integration of light food is slowly started.

Here, too, you have the option of booking an additional set-up day for your stay in the Tannenhäuschen. Slowly let your metabolism get back to work and, if possible, try to avoid stimulants such as sweets for a little longer. You will notice that Lent has sharpened your senses and your sense of pleasure.



After this week you will feel reborn. Fit, full of energy and joie de vivre you will be able to calmly face the challenges of life again.
