June is here, the days are long - and sometimes you just need a few days to take a deep breath. Am Tannenhäuschen is a particularly good place to do this. It's quiet and green here, and everyday life quickly feels far away. No city noise, no traffic jams, no full diary - just forest, air and time for yourself.
In summer, there's plenty to do outside: on the sunbathing lawns of the AQUA SILVA Spa, on the quiet paths through the neighbouring park or simply on the sun terrace with a good coffee. If you like, you can put your book aside and simply listen to the birds. It sounds banal - but it feels amazingly good when you haven't done it for a while.
After a walk, the outdoor pool awaits - and there's hardly anything better in summer. Swim a few lengths or simply float on your back and look up at the sky. The water is at a pleasant temperature, the sun warms from above - there's hardly a better way to spend the day.
The sauna is also worth a visit in summer - perhaps even more so than in winter. The alternation between heat and cool water feels particularly refreshing on hot days. There are various options to choose from in the sauna park, from the mild infrared sauna to the original Finnish earth sauna at around 110 degrees. Afterwards, a cool drink on the gallery, a view of the greenery, no rush. This is what an afternoon should look like.
When the sun gets lower, it's time for a good dinner. In summer, chef Matthias Teuber focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients from the region - light, flavourful and prepared with great attention to detail. Sitting outside on the terrace, enjoying a good meal and rounding off the evening is one of the best parts of a short holiday. And sometimes you just stay a glass longer because it's so nice.
Summer passes quickly. A few days in the Tannenhäuschen help you to really feel it.
