Lower Rhine Cycling Experience Day

Fun for all cycling enthusiasts! On the first Sunday in July each year, more than 30,000 cycling enthusiasts explore the Lower Rhine. Around 70 towns and municipalities along the Rhine and Meuse take part in the Lower Rhine Cycling Day. And with circular routes ranging from 10 to 80 kilometres, there is something for every cyclist.

Historical Hanseatic Festival

Every year, the traditional Hanseatic Festival commemorates Wesel's accession to the Hanseatic League in 1407. Visitors can expect an extensive supporting programme, a farmers' and medieval market and an open Sunday. The large knights' camp at the Berliner Tor and the historical parade on Saturday evening form the highlight of the festival.
