May Fair

The May Fair in Wesel is an event that attracts families and adrenaline junkies from near and far to the Rhine. Along the promenade, there are numerous rides, lottery stalls and, of course, food stalls.

Lower Rhine Cycling Day

Fun for all cycling enthusiasts! On the first Sunday in July every year, more than 30,000 cycling enthusiasts explore the Lower Rhine. Around 70 towns and municipalities along the Rhine and Meuse take part in the Lower Rhine Cycling Day. And with circular routes ranging from 10 to 80 km, there is something for every cyclist.

PPP City Festival – „Pauken, Plunder, Promenade“

The annual traditional festival “Pauken, Plunder, Promenade”, PPP for short, is a real visitor magnet. The funfair, fireworks, flea market, divers' meeting & marksmen's day and live music provide the right entertainment.

September 04 – 07, 2025

Bulli Summerfestival

The beautiful Auesee lake is the location for one of the biggest Bulli events in Germany. Up to 30,000 guests and participants are expected to camp, talk shop and party.

Historical Hanseatic Festival

The traditional Hanseatic Festival annually commemorates Wesel's accession to the Hanseatic League in 1407. Visitors can expect an extensive supporting program, a farmers' and medieval market, and an open Sunday. The large knights' camp at the Berliner Tor and the historical parade on Saturday evening, form the highlight of the festival.

Advent market at the cathedral

Wonderful smell of mulled wine and lovingly decorated stalls will put you in a pre-Christmas mood. Food and drink will be provided by the various clubs, associations and cariative institutions from Wesel. Taste homemade treats and find a suitable gift for your loved ones.

Wesel hut magic

You can never get enough of Christmas markets! That's why a second Christmas market is taking place in Wesel again this year. The Heubergpark will be transformed into a Christmas-winter paradise with a festive supporting program.
