Our guest fitness trainer Vanessa Kupke will show you effective ways to reduce your stress levels and bring body and mind into harmony with the right mix of activity and relaxation.

At selected periods, Vanessa will be our guest at the Waldhotel Tannenhäuschen and introduce you to a whole new world of stress regulation with intensive workouts and targeted relaxation exercises based on them. And this combination will take its toll: you will feel significantly more balanced, fitter and full of life energy!

Reduce stress & let go of tension

Vanessa relies on the highly effective combination of working out, regenerating and pausing. Yoga, meditation and breathing exercises are used as well as sweaty training and proven relaxation techniques. You don't have to meet any special fitness requirements, just have a positive attitude towards exercise and fitness.

By the way: In addition to the three-day weekend package, you also have the opportunity to take part in individual appointments as a day spa guest without staying overnight.

Vanessa Kupke is married, 40 years young and the proud mother of a boy. She has been teaching fitness and health with a lot of passion for more than 25 years now. Your personal compensation is teaching yoga, autogenic training or progressive muscle relaxation. Find peace, collect yourself, inner mindfulness and conscious breathing bring body and mind into harmony.

She goes into every sweaty workout with a lot of joy and commitment and likes to push her participants to their limits.

After a strenuous day at work, just sit on the couch, put your feet up and finally do nothing - an understandable impulse, but unfortunately not very effective.

We all know this all too well: We rush through the day at full speed, juggling work, family, friends, hobbies, appointments as if by magic and at some point we wonder why we can't switch off anymore.

No matter how well we multitask between office and home life and juggle daily challenges, we suffer from stress. Yes: suffer. At least if we don't ensure effective stress relief. And unfortunately the couch is not the adequate solution to our problem. But the combination of sport and targeted relaxation techniques.


Counteract stress with exercise and relaxationSport against stress for optimal balance.

Sport is an optimal means of reducing stress. It is less about the type of sport and your own fitness and more about the fact that you exercise regularly in everyday life.

Only through the high intensity of movement and muscle tension can the released stress hormones be effectively broken down - just as nature originally intended.

However, the subsequent relaxation was also intended by nature. After a fight or sprint, our ancestors didn't rush to the next appointment, but instead did nothing at all except rest: reduce stress. Running to the gym during your lunch break and then quickly going to the next customer meeting is therefore not the optimal solution either.

Effective stress relief: first exercise, then relax

Effective stress reduction occurs in two phases: sport and relaxation, tension and relaxation. And Vanessa follows exactly this principle in her weekend workshop. Intensive exercise and targeted physical stress are followed by exercises to consciously let go of tension.

As a result, something happens in the head and body: the brain switches from the sympathetic nervous system (alarm mode) to the parasympathetic nervous system (rest mode), positive stimulating hormones are released and the body, mind and soul experience a much deeper relaxation than without previous stress.

Which techniques and sports to combat stress?

Many relaxation techniques such as meditation and breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation or autogenic training are ideal for reducing stress after sport. Classic Hatha yoga integrates physical, breathing and relaxation exercises and is therefore one of the best forms of exercise against stress.

Whether jogging or Nordic walking, whether classic fitness, yoga or high-intensity interval training - which sport you choose is your choice! Almost all sports that stimulate the cardiovascular system, strain the muscles and put you in a positive state of mind are helpful against stress. After all, sport shouldn't cause additional stress.
